Der Druck, sich damit auseinanderzusetzen, wird unausweichlich; sei es, um sich Vertr\u00e4ge mit K\u00e4ufern und Verk\u00e4ufern oder Gelder von Geldgebern zu sichern. Promar International und <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/foodbusiness.digital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FoodBusiness.Digital<\/a> (FB.D) <\/strong>haben sich zusammengetan, um Landwirten und Unternehmen die Erstellung von Treibhausgasbilanzen so einfach wie m\u00f6glich zu machen und gleichzeitig praktische Empfehlungen zu geben, von denen Unternehmen profitieren k\u00f6nnen und die \u00fcber das grundlegende, aber dr\u00e4ngende Thema der Reduzierung von Treibhausgasemissionen hinausgehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Was ist die Treibhausgasbilanzierung \u00fcberhaupt?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Vereinfacht ausgedr\u00fcckt, ist die Bilanzierung von Treibhausgasemissionen, auch Carbon Footprinting genannt, eine Methode zur Messung der Treibhausgasemissionen, die beim Anbau von Lebensmitteln oder anderen G\u00fctern entstehen. Sie kann Unternehmen dabei helfen, ihre Umweltauswirkungen zu verstehen und Wege zu ihrer Verringerung zu finden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Um einen Fu\u00dfabdruck zu berechnen, m\u00fcssen wir die Mengen an Inputs kennen, die bei jeder landwirtschaftlichen T\u00e4tigkeit verwendet werden. Dazu geh\u00f6ren unter anderem Futtermittel, D\u00fcngemittel, Kunststoffe und Kraftstoffe. Wenn alle Elemente und ihre Mengen ber\u00fccksichtigt sind, k\u00f6nnen wir die Werte addieren, um ihre gesamten Kohlenstoff\u00e4quivalente zu ermitteln. Fu\u00dfabdr\u00fccke k\u00f6nnen auf verschiedenen Ebenen erstellt werden, z. B. nach Pflanzen- oder Tierart, nach Betrieb oder nach Lieferkette. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umweltbundesamt.de\/daten\/land-forstwirtschaft\/beitrag-der-landwirtschaft-zu-den-treibhausgas#treibhausgas-emissionen-aus-der-landwirtschaft\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hier mehr zur Treibhausgasbilanzierung in der Landwirtschaft.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Der Carbon Footprint &#8211; ein Ma\u00df f\u00fcr wirtschaftliche Effizienz<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wenn Ihr Treibhausgasbilanzwert hoch ist, kann dies bedeuten, dass Sie einen Betrieb f\u00fchren, der wirtschaftlich ineffizient ist. Im Kern geht es bei diesem Ansatz darum, Daten \u00fcber Ihre Inputs und Outputs zu sammeln und auf der Grundlage einer fundierten Interpretation der gesammelten Daten zu wirtschaften.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Am Beispiel der Herdengesundheit k\u00f6nnen wir Folgendes festhalten:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wenn Tiere sterben oder krank werden, hat ein Betrieb einen gr\u00f6\u00dferen Carbon Footprint, als wenn diese Tiere gesund bleiben. Und warum? Weil der Betrieb f\u00fcr jedes Tier mehr Futter, Wasser, Zeit und andere Ressourcen aufwenden muss, um den Output des Tieres (Fleisch, Milch, Eier oder Nachkommen) zu erzeugen. Au\u00dferdem wird es weniger lange produktiv sein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ein Tier, das l\u00e4nger gesund ist, ist also nicht nur f\u00fcr die Umwelt, sondern auch f\u00fcr den Betrieb wirtschaftlich besser. Im Wesentlichen kann die Treibhausgasbilanz Ineffizienzen bei der Herdengesundheit aufzeigen und Daten liefern, mit denen Sie Ihre Bem\u00fchungen zur Verbesserung der Ergebnisse gezielt messen und bewerten k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Carbon Footprinting &#8211; das Tor zur Zukunft<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Das Wissen um Ihren Fu\u00dfabdruck kann Ihnen Aufschluss \u00fcber die Effizienz Ihres Unternehmens geben und er\u00f6ffnet Ihnen eine neue Welt der Datenanalyse, die Sie bei Managemententscheidungen unterst\u00fctzt. When all items and their quantities are considered, we can add up the ratings to discover their total carbon equivalents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carbon footprinting can be performed at different levels, such as by crop or livestock type, by farm, or by supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Carbon footprinting \u2013 a measure of economic efficiency<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In essence, if your carbon footprint score is high, you will be running a business that is economically inefficient. At its heart, this approach is all about collecting data about your inputs and outputs, and farming in accordance with sound interpretation of the evidence you gather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Measuring herd health via carbon footprinting<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If animals die or get sick, a farm will have a greater carbon footprint than if those animals stayed healthy. Why? Because the farm will have to put in more feed, water, time, and other resources for each animal to create that animal\u2019s outputs (meat, milk, eggs, or offspring). Additionally, it will be productive for less time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, an animal that is healthy for longer is better not only for the environment but for the farm economically. Essentially, carbon footprinting can highlight herd health inefficiencies, and provide data that you can use to target, measure, and evaluate your efforts to improve outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Carbon footprinting \u2013 the gateway to farming with data<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Understanding your carbon footprint can tell you about your business\u2019s efficiency, and it opens a new world of data analysis that supports you in management decisions. Interpreted carefully, the data enables you to enhance your farming methods and improve returns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ultimately, carbon footprinting is not just about satisfying the requirements of others. It is the gateway to the era of ever-more accurate, data-driven farming. This will facilitate more efficient allocation of resources and improved outcomes for your business. It requires changes of approach, but these will pay dividends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With ever-improving technology to help us monitor and interpret farm performance, the importance of carbon-footprint data, and other markers, will only grow as time goes on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Promar and FB.D \u2013 making data simple<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>So, measuring and reducing carbon footprints can make farms more efficient and profitable. However, producing initial audits can be daunting for farmers.<br>We at Promar are currently focusing our efforts on supporting German farm businesses in this way.
