I joined Promar in 2017, I come from a farming background having grown up on a large mixed farming estate in Cheshire. I graduated from Harper Adams in 1998 with a BSc Hons Degree in Agriculture and Farm Business Management. I have first-hand experience of working in a number of agricultural sectors not only in the UK but also in Australia, New Zealand and Mauritius. I specialise in livestock (inc dairy) and arable consultancy with considerable experience in financial, regulatory and practical management issues.
I am responsible for the preparation of whole-farm reviews, farm budgets, cash flows and monitoring farm management accounts. In addition, I administer the management of environmental schemes on farms and estates and oversees farm staff and contractors on a daily basis, and I have in-depth knowledge of CAP reform and cross-compliance including Soil and NVZ management.
I am a member of the Institute of Agricultural Management and British Institute of Agricultural Consultants. I have also been appointed onto the RPA’s Independent Agricultural Appeals Panel and I am Committee member of the Weston Agricultural Discussion group and member of the Staffordshire and Birmingham Agricultural Society.
Recently I gained certification with the Register of Mobility Scorers aiming to improve the mobility of all UK dairy herds.
