Brought up in rural North Wales, I joined Promar International in 2019, bringing with me over 10 years’ experience of working with a range of clients across the agri-food sector. I have a particular interest in diversification, having spent a number of years assisting farmers and small holders to add value to primary products and identify sales channels. I have also worked in the seafood sector, supporting market development and overseas trade in Europe and Asia.
As Head of Agri-Food, I lead a team of analysts and consultants in the delivery of bespoke consultancy services to a diverse range of businesses across the supply chain, from primary producers to government organisations. As a team, we have local to global knowledge across a broad range of sectors. Some of our recent study areas include wine, hemp and raisins.
Since graduating with a Bsc (Hons) in Environmental Science, I have continued to develop my knowledge gaining a Management and Leadership PGC at Aberystwyth University, plus I am an active and professional member of IAgrM and a Great Taste judge for the Guild of Fine Food. I am a past National Young Farmer of the Year and in 2009, I was awarded the NFU Gareth Raw Rees Scholarship to undertake an export agriculture study to Sub-Saharan Africa.
Outside of work, I am a qualified SUP Adventure Guide and enjoy trips away in my VW campervan.
