Although I am not from a farming background, my interest in agriculture began when I was very young. This inspired me to study a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Agriculture at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire, when I left school.
After graduating I worked as an assistant farm manager on a dairy farm. I loved working with cattle and specialised in monitoring cow fertility – where I developed an interest in artificial insemination.
I learned a lot of valuable lessons on the farm, principally that they require a lot of managing! This experience guides my approach to my role as a Farm Business Analyst. I organise my work strictly and make sure that I run operations optimally.
In 2019 I completed my IAgSA qualifications in bookkeeping. In 2022 I trained with Promar to become a Farm Business Analyst.
I always strive to always keep my customers’ records in good order, and pride myself on clear communications, to ensure clients achieve their goals. I go the extra mile to help farmers to understand their business and learn new software.
Staying organised is vital for keeping control of my busy workload and enables me to enjoy a life away from the computer. In my spare time I love walking my dog and helping my partner on the beef farm where we live.
