My role as Sustainability Consultant at Promar involves supporting the implementation of sustainable strategies within the food and farming industry. Providing comprehensive, tailored advice throughout every stage of the food supply chain and promoting efficiency whilst reducing cost.
Fascinated by the interconnected web of human-environment interactions, I decided to study a Geography BSc degree at the University of Liverpool. This course was monumental in cementing my interest in addressing key global topics, surrounding climate change, (agricultural) sustainability, and environmental protection.
My passion for cooking and creating dishes from sustainably-sourced, local produce, ignited my interest surrounding sustainable agriculture and food production systems. Subsequently, I completed multiple online courses, all of which consolidated my knowledge surrounding agriculture, and the future impact of farming practices on the environment.
I am also looking forward to completing a Masters in Sustainable Food and Natural Resources at the Centre of Alternative Technology (CAT’s) this September, on a part-time basis, which will further my knowledge and expertise in this topic.
Outside of work, I love to socialise with friends and family. I consider myself the ‘hostess with the most-ess’ and take great pleasure in cooking exciting and adventurous dishes for all my nearest and dearest. I am also very passionate about travelling and immersing myself in new cultures.
