Garry Kidner

I am a Principal Consultant for Promar based in the South East of England for over 30 years. Talking and listening to farmers, I help them to run their businesses and enable them to be more successful. 

I really enjoy the mixture of technical and financial work supporting farmers to grow and develop their business. I work with a number of mixed businesses with a variety of diversifications including business units, holiday lets and milk processing. 

Over the years it has been fulfilling to see clients go from being tenants to owner occupiers; low profitability to high profitability; helping them to increase their wealth and net worth. 

With several of my clients, I initially started working with parents but now I thoroughly enjoy helping the next generation come into the farm business to continue its growth and development.  

The best days and highlights for me are aiding clients to resolve important issues, making good decisions and agreeing on the best way to move forward. My whole career has been focused on supporting other people to progress profitably in their careers.  I pride myself on being a reliable and supportive member of your farm team.

At the weekend I enjoy my family and social life with my wife Laura and two children. I love gardening as well as coaching and managing a colt’s rugby team, helping them to develop as team players and as a successful rugby side, as well as good people.  

As well as my extensive experience I have continued to expand my skills by undertaking ongoing training, I am FACTS qualified and able to produce Nutrient Management Plans for SFI. I am also a member of the Feed Advisors Register (FAR).
