The great joy of my role is that it allows me to continue to practice being an effective and engaging communicator to diverse audiences on a daily basis. Current projects include challenging and facilitating large groups across the country to evolve, as well as working on a supportive basis with individual businesses and colleagues.
At times of disruptive change, understanding what motivates the owners of farming businesses as well as an in-depth appreciation of what affects their financial performance is a key driver of success. Prior to my current role with Promar, I am fortunate to have had diverse experience across the UK, initially as a Farm Business Consultant, then in various senior Banking roles. Most groups and individuals have a greater potential to adapt successfully to change than they first believe.
In 2016 I was honoured to be awarded a Fellowship of The Royal Agricultural Societies in recognition of my services to the U. K. Agriculture Industry
I believe strongly in continued development. Some steps by which I have sharpened my knowledge include completion of The 21st Century Leadership Course at The London Business School; completion of The Worshipful Company of Farmers Course in Advanced Agriculture Business Management; as well as most recently completing a Diploma in Learning & Development from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (C.I.P.D.)
