I joined the Promar sustainability team in October 2020 after graduating from Harper Adams University with a BSc Honours in Food Technology with Nutrition, through which I gained a broad range of knowledge and experience throughout the agri-food supply chain and food industry.
As part of my degree, I completed a 12-month placement at Keeling’s International, where I gained specific experience in the fresh produce sector. This role gave me the opportunity to apply food safety and supply chain knowledge in practice including HACCP and quality assurance compliance (BRC, Organic, Fairtrade and Red Tractor). Having experienced hands on issues around waste and sustainability, I was inspired to complete my final year Honours Research Project on the issue of food waste pre-consumer level.
Building on my academic background, my skills, knowledge and expertise are focused on hygiene and food safety, food security and sustainability issues, food product manufacture and supply, food quality management, food policy and ethics, farm assurance and quality, supply chain management and advanced nutrition.
I bring a broad knowledge of the agri-food supply chain, thorough research skills and dynamic communication capabilities to the team. My role at Promar involves work across a range of agri-food projects focusing on creating sustainable solutions to our clients across a vast range of businesses in the industry.
“I enjoy having the opportunity to work on projects, addressing some of the leading sustainability issues and creating solutions that improve the agri-food industry. I am particularly excited to gain further skills and experience in the Beef and Dairy sector“
