I thrive on helping my clients succeed. I use my varied knowledge to help clients focus and get the job done with a consistent organised approach, and make it an “up-beat” experience. I have worked as a consultant with Promar since 2007. As well as working directly with clients, I have managed Promar’s in-house training courses. I keep up to date with […]
Following a degree in Animal Science BSc (Hons) at Harper Adams, I joined AHDB in the Dairy Knowledge Exchange team. My time was focused on running knowledge-exchange events for farmers, and grazing-based discussion groups. In September 2023, I moved from the Midlands to join Promar as part of the South consultancy team and have enjoyed […]
I am a Principal Consultant for Promar based in the South East of England for over 30 years. Talking and listening to farmers, I help them to run their businesses and enable them to be more successful. I really enjoy the mixture of technical and financial work supporting farmers to grow and develop their business. I work with a number of mixed businesses with a variety of diversifications including business […]
After graduating from the University of Reading in 2016 with a BSc (Hons) in Animal Science, I spent six years working with horses around the world. This experience took me to Florida, New Zealand, Spain and Argentina – where I learned and then honed my Spanish skills. My career with Promar began in March 2023, […]
During my A-levels I worked on a local dairy farm which gave me the opportunity, after leaving college, to manage the herd. I did this on a contract basis which has resulted in a hugely successful, family haulage business that is now run by my son. My 25 years experience of running a successful business gives me a deep […]
I have fortunate enough to have been involved in agriculture all of my life. I was brought up on the family farm, attended agricultural college and funded my university studies by working as a relief milker. Throughout my career which has been spent in both senior operations and sales roles, I have been fortunate enough […]
Before I started working for Promar International I worked in the office for my family run Home Hardware Business dealing with ordering, stock intakes and current/potential suppliers. I have always been involved in the agricultural industry but defined my career path during my A-levels. I have a variety of agricultural experience, but my passion is sheep. I studied […]
With a lifelong involvement in agriculture, particularly in the dairy farming sector, I bring over a decade of hands-on experience and expertise to the table. Growing up on a rural farm in Ireland instilled in me a deep-rooted passion for farming, which has only intensified over the years. My journey in agriculture has taken me […]
I use my experience in managing a diverse range of farms, with dairy, beef, sheep and arable enterprises, to help others develop progressive and profitable farm businesses in an ever-changing world. I joined Promar in December 2022 following 30 years in farm management. I have wide experience with both high-yielding herds and grass-based dairy systems. […]
I was reared on a dairy farm in south Warwickshire and formally educated in Agriculture at Harper Adams University College. However, my real education for my consultancy role has come from the hundreds (if not now thousands!) of dairy farmers I have had the privilege to meet and work with over the 30 + years of my career. My satisfaction comes from helping to find solutions to the challenges of modern farming systems in sustainable ways for the farming family, the cows and the environment.
I joined Promar in July 2022 and progressed quickly from Associate to Farm Consultant, covering the South West. I spent the first few years post graduating (with a First-Class Honours Degree in Agricultural Business Management with additional achievement awards) working for a local consultancy firm, primarily running the Maize Growers Association and Devon Grassland Society. […]
I have worked with Promar International since 2021 within the Quality team. I have a proven background in process optimisation and working with vast data sets in financial and creative industries. My expertise is within data analysis, data visualisation and client relationships. Aside from work I like to spend my free time hiking, running, playing […]
Testimonials
“Garry Kidner is our Promar farm business consultant, he works alongside us, formulating rations, preparing budget forecasts and monitoring business performance. The FBA package is excellent for providing comparison to budget and to previous years as well as generating KPI’S for benchmarking. We regard his input as vital to our farming success.”

“Charlotte visits us once a month, to complete our VAT return for us. On this visit she ensures our accounts are up to date and accurate and prints out reports to help us to construct our forward cashflow plan. Charlotte also sends the information over to our Promar consultant Emma Thompson, who then uses the data to assist us with making management decisions, and to our accountant at the end of the year to build the base of our tax accounts. I would highly recommend Promar to anyone wanting to grow and develop their business.”

“Charlotte has been coming to us for the past 3 and a half years, she provides a highly efficient service, completing our VAT returns and year end accounts. After each monthly visit she sends the data over to our accountant so they are able to complete quarterly tax accounts. More recently Charlotte introduced us to Mark Roue who we now have as our consultant, helping us drive the business forward. Charlotte and Mark work closely together to ensure the visits are effective and that the relevant information is shared with each other.”

“We use Andrew as a sounding board for our business. He provides detailed financial assessments and projections for the business and this helps us to challenge and question our decision making at every opportunity. We would have no hesitation in recommending Andrew’s services to other farmers.”
